ESCAPE VAULT 13

Help & Support

GETTING STARTED

Getting Started

  1. Create a free account or sign in when you are ready to play.
  2. Open the Escapes library and choose a released room (Room 13 is free).
  3. Play Solo, or create a game and invite friends with the six-character lobby code.
  4. Inspect the scene, interact with hotspots, collect items, uncover clues, and solve the room's puzzles.

Your account keeps your progress, achievements, purchases, and multiplayer history together across supported devices.

MULTIPLAYER

Multiplayer & Lobbies

Create a private game and share its invite code, browse public lobbies, or use Find a Team. Everyone plays from their own device and can investigate different scenes at the same time. Shared clues, inventory, solved puzzles, and room state stay synchronized with the team. If the room uses Team Split Pay, the host locks the final roster before anyone pays.

VOICE CHAT

Voice Chat

Voice chat is optional. If you choose to connect, your browser will ask for microphone access. You can mute locally or play without voice. A voice connection problem does not end the escape — gameplay continues and voice can reconnect separately.

ROOM CONTROLS

Room Controls & Interaction

Escape Vault 13 uses cinematic 2D scenes. Tap or click interactive objects to inspect them, collect items, reveal clues, open puzzles, or move to another scene. Close-up views may contain additional hotspots. On phones and tablets, landscape mode can make detailed scenes easier to inspect. If an object does not respond, try closing any open panel and selecting the scene again.

PAYMENTS

Payments & Purchases

Free escapes need no purchase. Premium escapes can use one of two payment models:

  • Permanent unlock / Host Pays: the buyer permanently owns the room and can host it without paying again; invited guests join that host's game without buying the room.
  • Team Split Pay: when the host does not own the room, the confirmed lobby can split that one match's room price between the players. Each player pays only their server-calculated share.

Stripe handles card details; Escape Vault 13 does not store your card number. If a completed purchase is not showing, open My Purchases and use Restore to re-check the Stripe session safely.

RECONNECTING

Reconnecting & Recovery

If your connection drops, your saved match state remains on the server. Refresh the game page or reopen the match from My Games to rejoin the same escape. Puzzle progress, discovered clues, shared inventory, story state, and elapsed match time are restored from the live match. Voice reconnects separately and does not restart the escape.

Use Settings to manage your display name, avatar, privacy, notifications, and account options. Premium room ownership and purchase history are tied to the account that completed checkout. You can delete your account from Settings → Account; personal data is removed according to the platform's privacy and retention rules.
